Baseball Recap: Jay Takes a Loss

Jay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winn Mavericks.

Jay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isiah Flores, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Those three hits gave Flores a new career-high.

Jay's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Winn, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jay is set to challenge their familiar foe Southwest Legacy at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Winn will square off against rival Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
