Volleyball Recap: Shawnee's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Shawnee came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Kenton Ridge Cougars, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost nine in a row.

Olivia Everhart was the offensive standout of the match as she had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Shawnee fell to 2-1. As for Kenton Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Shawnee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Catholic Central on the 23rd. As for Kenton Ridge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
