Baseball Game Preview: Marshall County Tigers vs. Lawrence County Wildcats

For the second straight game, Marshall County will face off against Lawrence County. The Tigers will square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Marshall County took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over Lawrence County. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the match before.

For Lawrence County's part, Alex Bedford was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI. Bedford has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jake Moore, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Marshall County's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Lawrence County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.
