Basketball Game Preview: Anson Bearcats vs. Albemarle Bulldogs + How To Watch

Anson hasn't had much luck against Albemarle recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bearcats will challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Anson can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Montgomery Central and fell 61-32.

Alaysia Caraway put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted 12 points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Komoria Chambers was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Albemarle played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 53-21 loss at the hands of Forest Hills. The Bulldogs were down 46-15 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Anson came up short against Albemarle when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 69-60. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
