Volleyball Recap: Latin Romans vs. Resurrection Bandits

Latin entered their contest against Resurrection on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Romans fell just short of the Bandits by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bandits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 two weeks ago.

The 2-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 22-25, 25-23.

Molly Brannigan was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and one assist. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Latin will host North Shore Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Resurrection, they will head out to challenge Lane Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Champions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bandits surely won't give up without a fight.
