League recap: Marquette Catholic tops East Richland to extend winning streak

Marquette Catholic extended the longest winning streak in Prairie State this week by beating East Richland, 56-28. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.

Marquette Catholic moved up to 140 from 222 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Tim Nelson's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Tigers 56-28.

Thanks to the talents of Luke Hamlin and Austin Chausse Nokomis/Ramsey/Lincolnwood has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Hamlin leads the league in passing with 868 yards, while Chausse has rushed for 1253 yards this season. Bunker Hill's Ike Jackson leads the league in receiving yards with 456 on 25 catches.

The Explorers took down East Richland 56-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
