Baseball Recap: Colfax Takes a Loss

Colfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glenwood City Hilltoppers. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Vikings' highest-scoring game to date.

Colfax saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Palewicz, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Grant Cook also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Glenwood City, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Colfax has already played their next matchup (against Boyceville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Glenwood City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Elmwood/Plum City on the 25th.
