Soccer Recap: Mission Comes Up Short

Mission was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Martin Tigers.

Mission's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Martin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission will host Mission Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Veterans Memorial's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Mission's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Martin, they will welcome Cigarroa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Martin is facing Cigarroa at the right time seeing as Cigarroa is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
