Calallen put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Hayden Brock tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Drayson Gamez was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Blake Quinn was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Calallen hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in 15 consecutive contests.

Calallen's win was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Floresville, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Calallen didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-0 win against King on the 22nd. As for Floresville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against Carrizo Springs on the 25th.
