Softball Recap: Lasalle Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

LaSalle's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Northwood Gators as the LaSalle Tigers made off with a 17-0 victory. Considering the Tigers have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

LaSalle's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.5 runs. As for Northwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaSalle will square off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. LaSalle's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Lakeview's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Northwood, they will challenge Plainview at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
