Baseball Game Preview: Sacramento Dragons vs. San Juan Spartans

The Sacramento Dragons will face off against the San Juan Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Sacramento didn't have quite enough to beat Foothill and fell 4-3. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sacramento saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyrone Archie, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Those two hits gave Archie a new career-high.

Meanwhile, San Juan lost 25-3 to West Campus on Friday. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

San Juan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sacramento, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Sacramento came out on top in a nail-biter against San Juan in their previous meeting back in March of 2017, sneaking past 5-3. Will Sacramento repeat their success, or does San Juan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
