Baseball Game Preview: Bermudian Springs Eagles vs. Neumann-Goretti Saints

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Neumann-Goretti rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 13-3 victory. The Saints' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Mario Valais, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Luca Costobile also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bermudian Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 19-2. As for Neumann-Goretti, the win got them back to even at 10-10-1.
