Softball Recap: Nestucca Takes a Loss

Nestucca lost against Gervais on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-2. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nestucca saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper Armstrong, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Maddy Olson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Nestucca's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Gervais, they pushed their record up to 13-5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Nestucca didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-15 victory against Central Linn on the 9th. As for Gervais, they will head out to face off against Regis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
