Baseball Recap: Homer-Center Comes Up Short on the Road Against Conemaugh Township

Homer-Center had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Conemaugh Township Indians by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Homer-Center got a good showing from Matthew Zerfoss, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Zerfoss a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Brayden Rado made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Homer-Center will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Cambria Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Conemaugh Township, they will venture away from home to square off against River Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
