Bishop McNamara proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 12) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Fightin' Irish as they're now sitting on five straight.

Victoria Torres spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Teagan McCue, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.

Bishop McNamara's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-12.

As of now, neither Bishop McNamara nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
