Mount Vernon's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Utah School for the Deaf & Blind Eagles 47-25. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mount Vernon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pablo Lopez out in front who posted ten points and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Hernandez, who earned 13 points.

Mount Vernon's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Utah School for the Deaf & Blind, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mount Vernon has already played their next contest, an 87-24 defeat against Milford on the 16th. As for Utah School for the Deaf & Blind, they will host Telos at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
