Volleyball Recap: Indian Rocks Christian Takes Down Clearwater Central Catholic in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Indian Rocks Christian walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Marauders back in August, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Tesa Johnson had an outrageously good game as she had 26 digs and five assists. Those 26 digs gave her a new career-high.

Despite the defeat, Clearwater Central Catholic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Megan Christian had 30 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, Christian is now averaging an impressive 10.7 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Garrett, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Indian Rocks Christian has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.

Coming up, Indian Rocks Christian will challenge Northside Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Clearwater Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
