Basketball Recap: Greenville H Extends Winning Streak to Three

Greenville H extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Bailey Amerson. Everything went the Greenville H Hurricanes' way against the Chapman Panthers on Monday as the Greenville H Hurricanes made off with a 61-37 victory thanks in part to Amerson, who posted 14 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Macie Hanley, who had eight points and six rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

Chapman's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylan Ivey, who put up ten points and three steals. Krislyn Wilder was another key player, putting up eight points along with five assists and three steals.

Greenville H's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Chapman, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Greenville H won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Woodruff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodruff is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. As for Chapman, they will square off against Greer Middle College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
