            Baseball Recap: Cloverdale Clovers vs. Owen Valley Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Cloverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They lost  9-3 to the Owen Valley Patriots. The Clovers were not able to make up for their  loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting  back in April of 2024.
 Cloverdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Landon Duncan, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  run.  Zander Ingalls also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Cloverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Owen Valley, the  victory was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.
 Cloverdale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  24-1  win against Eminence on the 3rd. As for Owen Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against White River Valley  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.86  runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
