Football Game Preview: Plateau Valley Cowboys vs. Soroco Rams + Official Tickets

The Plateau Valley Cowboys will face off against the Soroco Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plateau Valley has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 132 points over their last three games.

On Friday, Plateau Valley made easy work of Rangely and carried off a 44-24 win.

Plateau Valley's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. In that department, Grant Bevan was the leader with two sacks. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another thorn in Rangely's side was Colter Ralston, who made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Soroco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 30-28 heartbreaker at the hands of Lake County. On the bright side, the 28- point effort marked the Rams' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Soroco's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Plateau Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Plateau Valley against Soroco in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-12 win. In that contest, the Cowboys amassed a halftime lead of 46-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
