Baseball Recap: Legacy Comes Up Short

Legacy came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-1 to the Stephenville Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Leopards of the 7-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Legacy has also been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-22 record this season. As for Stephenville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

Legacy is taking a road trip to square off against Wylie at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Leopards' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Stephenville, they will be playing at home against Brock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
