Soccer Recap: Middletown Christian Takes a Loss

If Middletown Christian was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Catholic Central on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Yellow Springs Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 5-2. Middletown Christian were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Yellow Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Caleb Skaggs wasn't going to let Yellow Springs walk away unscathed as he scored both of Middletown Christian's goals, bringing his season total up to 26 goals.

Middletown Christian's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-1. As for Yellow Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

Middletown Christian will take on Woodward at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yellow Springs, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bishop Fenwick at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
