Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Erin O'Day stepped things up a notch to give Uxbridge the 'W'. O'Day turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Looking ahead, O'Day and Uxbridge will take on Hopedale at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Blue Raiders thanks in part to O'Day: she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched.
