Basketball Recap: Dubuque Senior Takes a Loss

Dubuque Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 48-22 to the Wahlert Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 57-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Dubuque Senior's record now sits at 2-6. As for Wahlert, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Dubuque Senior will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Waterloo West at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Wahlert will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Linn-Mar at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
