Basketball Game Preview: Fox Chapel Foxes vs. Pine-Richland Rams

Fox Chapel and Pine-Richland are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Fox Chapel Foxes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pine-Richland Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fox Chapel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.2 points per game this season.

Fox Chapel took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 52-41 victory over Seneca Valley.

Fox Chapel had a senior duo take command as Caden Kaiser dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards and Asher White posted 14 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards White has posted since back in January. Joey McGivney was another key player, putting up seven points.

Fox Chapel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Pine-Richland beat Woodland Hills 65-58 on Friday.

Fox Chapel's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Pine-Richland, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Fox Chapel came up short against Pine-Richland when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 59-49. Can Fox Chapel avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
