Soccer Game Preview: Andrews vs. Liberty

The Andrews Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Liberty Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Andrews fell victim to Lake View and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Chiefs/Maidens.

Meanwhile, Liberty unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenwood. The shutout was out of character for Liberty seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in January.

Liberty's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 11-1-1 and their overall record down to 13-3-1. As for Andrews, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10-2.

Andrews suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Liberty when the teams last played back in January. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
