Basketball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Kearny Komets

The High Tech SD Storm will face off against the Kearny Komets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. High Tech SD has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, High Tech SD turned things around against Logan Memorial Education Campus on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 78-40 victory over the Eagles. The Storm not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 23, 2025 (when they won 59-19).

Meanwhile, Kearny was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 64-59 to Clairemont. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (56), the Komets still had to take the loss.

High Tech SD's win bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Kearny, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

Things could have been worse for High Tech SD, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-42 loss to Kearny in their previous meeting back in January.
