Josiah Whitmire put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 30 points along with four steals. That was a full 55.6% of Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jackson Edwards was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Haywood Christian Academy can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Bethel Christian Academy by a score of 35-27. The victory was just what Haywood Christian Academy needed coming off of a 67-38 defeat in their prior game.
Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Haywood Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
