Volleyball Recap: Longmeadow's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Longmeadow unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Westfield Bombers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bombers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in April.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Longmeadow still got an impressive performance from Chris Bousquet, who had 23 digs and two assists. Bousquet has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 12 times he's played.

Longmeadow's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Westfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Longmeadow nor Westfield have any future games scheduled.
