Softball Recap: Dimond Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dimond can now relate to. They fell 11-6 to the Chugiak Mustangs on Saturday. The Lynx have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Clara Estabrook made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Estabrook, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Dimond's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Chugiak, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 23-6 record this season.

Dimond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chugiak, they will face off against Colony at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
