Volleyball Recap: West Craven's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

West Craven lost against New Bern back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Bears. The match marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

While West Craven was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-19.

Leading New Bern to victory were Allie Tuzo and Gabrielle Pidgeon. Tuzo had 12 digs and five aces, while Pidgeon had ten digs. Those five aces gave Tuzo a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Craven fell to 4-1. As for New Bern, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Craven will host East Carteret at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Bern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coastal Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
