Basketball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Comes Up Short

Coram Deo Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 53-40 to the Midland Christian Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Mustangs are ranked 117th).

Despite the loss, Coram Deo Academy still got an impressive performance from Selah Johnson, who posted 18 points and five boards. Emily Revering was another key player, putting up ten points.

Coram Deo Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Midland Christian, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Coram Deo Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-42 loss against Trinity Christian on the 1st. As for Midland Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-32 victory against Fort Worth Christian on the 1st.
