Baseball Recap: McCurdy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mora on Saturday, McCurdy came back down to earth. The Bobcats came up short against the Rangers on Saturday, falling 15-5. The Bobcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rangers earlier this season, when they won 11-5.

McCurdy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Victor Sanchez-Valdez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

McCurdy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Mora, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McCurdy is set to challenge their familiar foe Mesa Vista at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mora will take on rival Questa at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
