Baseball Recap: West Broward Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

West Broward lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pembroke Pines Charter, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Bobcats never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their one-run performance the match before.

Angel Figueroa looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Ethan Lindor was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ivan Sabater, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

West Broward was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pembroke Pines Charter only posted a batting average of .067.

West Broward's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10-1.

West Broward and Pembroke Pines Charter are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bobcats will challenge Goleman at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they will head out to take on Cypress Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
