Baseball Recap: Shorewood Comes Up Short

Shorewood fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Edmonds-Woodway on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on Wednesday.

Shorewood saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Finn Liekkio, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Shorewood and nudges their season record down to 13-7. As for Edmonds-Woodway, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

As of now, neither Shorewood nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
