The win continues a trend for the War EaglesLady War Eagles in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Purvis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over Northeast Jones on Friday.

Wayne County better keep an eye on Paxton Cooper. He was instrumental in Purvis' win, rushing for 189 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 200 yards on only ten passes. Cooper really tore up the turf during one magnificent 96-yard run. Purvis also got a significant boost from Gabe Franklin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 85 yards.

Purvis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 303 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Purvis' win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Wayne County, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6.
