Volleyball Recap: North Oconee Extends Winning Streak to Five

North Oconee waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins...and they left with five. They came out on top against the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played on September 18, 2025.

While North Oconee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-21, 25-22.

Addie Stewart had a dynamite game, getting 10 kills, 10 digs, and three aces. Another player making a difference was Emma Smajlovic, who had 11 assists, three digs, and two aces.

Despite the loss, St. Pius X Catholic saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Catherine Morris had nine assists, three digs, and two aces.

North Oconee has now won eight of their last nine games at home. That's given a solid lift to their 15-4 record this season. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they are now 12-2, having gone 1-2 since their 11-game winning streak ended.

Coincidentally, North Oconee and St. Pius X Catholic will both be playing Oconee County the next time they take the court. The Golden Lions will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
