There's no place like home for Taft, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Edna Cowboys on Saturday. The Greyhounds' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Hunter Montemayor was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Taft moved to 1-5-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Edna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Taft will venture away from home to face off against Hebbronville at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Hebbronville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Taft's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Edna, they will head out on the road to challenge Industrial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Industrial will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Edna surely won't give up without a fight.
