Basketball Recap: Oak Ridge Christian Academy Falls to Christian Community in First Game of Season

Oak Ridge Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 47-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Community Colts on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost seven in a row.

Autumn Hubbard was nothing short of spectacular for Christian Community: she shot 41% from the field en route to 26 points. Those 26 points gave Hubbard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Miya Scott, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Christian Community now has a winning record of 2-1.

Oak Ridge Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Evansville HomeSchool R at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Christian Community, they will face off against Clarksville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Colts will need to watch out since the Centurions have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
