Baseball Recap: North Panola Comes Up Short

North Panola lost against Delta Academy on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars lost 12-5 to the Raiders. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jordan Watson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Da'Vontaye Johnson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

North Panola's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Delta Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Panola will welcome O'Bannon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delta Academy, they will be playing at home against Calhoun Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
