Volleyball Game Preview: Phillips Loggers vs. Rib Lake Redmen

Phillips has gone 8-2 against Rib Lake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Loggers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Redmen at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Phillips made easy work of Chequamegon and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Loggers.

Phillips not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Chequamegon between 18 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Rib Lake hadn't done well against Stratford recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Redmen narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2. The Redmen haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rib Lake got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-16, 36-34, 18-25, 15-6.

Rib Lake's victory bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Phillips, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
