Friday just wasn't the day for Newaygo's offense. They took a blow against the Big Rapids Cardinals on Friday, falling 56-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost six in a row.

Newaygo's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Big Rapids, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
