The Fruita Monument Wildcats stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Grand Junction 58-15 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Fruita Monument has managed all season.
Leading Fruita Monument to victory were Addison Eyre and Olivia Campbell. Eyre scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Campbell scored 19 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Eyre is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Willford, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
The victory (which was Fruita Monument's third in a row) raised their record to 11-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Grand Junction, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
