Basketball Recap: Toppenish Skates Past Quincy with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Toppenish's strategy against Quincy on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Toppenish Wildcats blew the Quincy Jackrabbits out of the water with a 64-15 final score. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 32 points or more this season.

Toppenish found their leader in sophomore Viviana Hernandez, who made all 6 shots she took to post 14 points. Adelaide Norman was another key player, putting up four points along with five boards and four steals.

Toppenish was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

With the victory, Toppenish broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-5. As for Quincy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Toppenish wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-13 win against Ephrata on the 10th. Quincy has also already played their next matchup, a 90-20 loss against Prosser on the 11th.
