Softball Recap: North Webster Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

North Webster barely beat Haynesville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights never let the Golden Tornado get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Wednesday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Tornado, too.

North Webster is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Haynesville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Webster will take on Richwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Haynesville, they will welcome Simsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Tornado's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
