Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Guertin Cardinals vs. Nashua South Purple Panthers

The Bishop Guertin Cardinals will challenge the Nashua South Purple Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bishop Guertin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.

Last Friday, Bishop Guertin didn't have quite enough to beat Goffstown and fell 61-58.

Meanwhile, Nashua South faced Bedford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Nashua South took a 78-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bedford. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (62), the Purple Panthers still had to take the loss.

Bishop Guertin now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Nashua South, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-4.

Bishop Guertin came up short against Nashua South in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 73-62. Can Bishop Guertin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
