Softball Recap: Booker T. Washington Comes Up Short

Booker T. Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders, falling 26-5. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Crusaders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Booker T. Washington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalena Barfield, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Booker T. Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pensacola Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Coming up, Booker T. Washington will welcome Destin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Booker T. Washington's pitchers better be ready for this one: Destin has averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Pensacola Catholic, they will square off against Rocky Bayou Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
