Sparkman is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Walker Valley. The Senators had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Senators, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Laila Watkins was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Sparkman's win bumped their record up to 27-9-1. As for Walker Valley, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6.
