Basketball Recap: Castleford Triumphs

Castleford's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They secured a 41-35 W over Watersprings.

Watersprings' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caroline Combs, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds, and Bri Williams, who posted eight points and 11 boards. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Castleford's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Watersprings, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Castleford will head out to square off against Rockland at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Watersprings, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Salmon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
