Basketball Recap: Christchurch School Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Christchurch School, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Virginia Girls HomeSchool Alpacas by a score of 41-33 on Friday.

Alexis Foster was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Christchurch School's points. Avery Thomas was another key player, putting up two points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Christchurch School's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Virginia Girls HomeSchool, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christchurch School will challenge Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
